Surf Chix camp

7/08/2008 10:32:00 AM
IT’S wet, it’s wild, it’s the 2008 Albany Boardriders Chix Surf Camp.

Held annually for the past seven years, the surf camp offers a safe, enjoyable environment for females of all ages and all abilities to surf.

The camp, at Bremer Bay, is from Friday evening, September 26, to Monday, September 29. Accommodation is available for those who need it.

On offer this year is learn-to-surf coaching, or for those who already have what it takes to stand, a chance to receive coaching on technique and style, including video recording and analysis of surf lessons.

Surfers interested in competing can learn competition skills and preparation.

Bodycare Health Club is offering a six-week free membership to camp participants, as a lead-up and get surf-fit opportunity.

Beginning August 15, surf-fit specific sessions will be made available to participants, a great way to meet other females attending the camp.

For further information or for a registration form, contact Kelly at the Department of Sport and Recreation on 9892 0100.
