THE recognition of Albany’s young soccer talent has taken another step forward.

Football West country selectors Willie Devlin and Perry Krakowczyk have identified 25 players they consider have the best chance of gaining selection to represent Western Australia at the U14 National Youth Championships next year.

Royals players Chris Wallace and Kyle Walker (both 12) and Rovers United’s Guy Kalma (13) are on that list of 25 and as a result have been invited to attend the State camp at Wesley College, South Perth, this week.

Further assessment of the boys will continue at club level, Albany Soccer Academy and Country Week prior to the final stages of trialing commencing in January 2009.
