SATURDAY night will see the opening night of the 2009/2010 speedway season at Attwell Park.
After a very busy time away from racing for both drivers and officials, all will be restored as another blockbuster season is in store.
The action will begin with the annual Noel Pearson Memorial on Saturday night.
The memorial is awarded to the highest point-scorer on the night across all divisions. Last year’s joint winner, Harlee Madden, should again be at the top end of the field after some good early pre-season form.
Nathan Penn’s move into productions will see him compete against Ron Belfield who will also be a strong chance for the memorial on Saturday night.
The calendar is again filled with action right through the season, with a massive Easter meeting including the Super Sedan State title, the return of the V8 Dirt Late Models after a successful run in Albany last year and the Modified Sedan State title.
Gates open this Saturday at 4.30pm with racing starting at 6pm. Full bar and canteen facilities are available.
