Sail introduction

THE Princess Royal Sailing Club is holding a public Go Sailing Day on Sunday, November 8, from 9am to noon.

There will be an opportunity to try the sport at all levels, from junior training dinghies to cruising and racing yachts.

Qualified instructors and skippers will be on hand to assist the public in learning the sport or just for cruising.

Also starting the same day is a five-week beginners sailing course that will be held each Saturday until December 5.

The course costs $60 and will ensure adults and children aged eight and over learn how to sail, about boat safety and oceanography. Each participant also gains free club membership for the following year.

The club is conducting more extensive 10-week courses during term one 2010.

For more information call Lauren on 9844 4033 or by email on office@prsc.com.au

The event is part of the club’s build-up for its hosting of the 2011 International Mirror Class World Championships, in what is believed to be the first sporting world championship to be held in Albany.
