FIXTURES return to normal in the Albany Cricket Association this weekend with Round 10 on Saturday.
After winning three games in a row, Collingwood Park suffered a bad loss to North County last start and will need a solid performance to consolidate a place in the final four.
They take on Royals who sit one game ahead of them in second position, in a game both sides will be desperate to win.
Royals, led by captain Andrew Hagnhofer, spinner Dylan Morgan and all-rounder Gavin Morgan who should be in good form after Country Week, will be considered serious finals’ contenders with a victory against the reigning premiers.
North County sit on top of the ladder and will look to turn the tables on Manypeaks who defeated the Bulldogs last time the sides met.
Manypeaks sit in fourth spot but have failed to find consistent batting form so far this season.
If Railways notch up a victory against the winless Denmark, Manypeaks’ place in the four could be in jeopardy if they can’t find a way to beat the powerful North County outfit on Turf West.
Railways are expected to fight back after crashing out of the top four with their third straight loss on January 9.
Terry Eaton is back after returning some great bowling figures for Albany Two in Country Week, and he could add some spark to the Tigers’ youngsters.
