Adams smashes club record

14/08/2008 9:07:00 AM
AUGUST’s revolver shoot at Mutton Bird range saw the rimfire division strongly contested.

The top four placegetters shot impressively, all bettering 500 points.

Brian Bolton was ‘Top Gun’ overall with 546.1 out of the possible 600 points.

In centre-fire, Bill Wellington had the field to himself, being the only contestant to better 500 with 545.8, which was also his nominated score for the day.

Andrew Adams set a new record for the 15-metre timed fire on the rabbit target with 99.2.

An extra point would have earned him the club’s $100 bonus, the first time possible in that event.

Cody Marklew, Mick Scanlan and Wellington all equalled for top score in the 50m event, with each of them returning 90.1.

The 25m went to Greg Davies with 92.2, while the 15m rapid-fire went to Mick Scanlan on 96.2.

Wellington took out the 10m multi-target with 93.3 while Bolton won the 10m rapid-fire with a possible 100.3.

The August midweek shoot will be held on Wednesday, August 13, with the second stage of the monthly trophy on Sunday, August 17.
