MANY dogs, considered the best in the State, were in Albany over the weekend being judged for the Albany All Breeds Dog Club Championship Show.
They were cleaned, preened and fluffed to make them ready for the show.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes were at Tigerland for the show, prepared by their owners for the honour of winning a first-place ribbon.
They all had the chance to win the approving nod from one of the two visiting judges from South Australia who were given the onerous job of deciding on the best in many breed classes.
They had a difficult task with one after another being presented to them.
Owners ensured their dogs were prepared by preening them to show off their best attributes.
Tigerland again provided the ideal location for the club to conduct its major show of the year.
