GREAT Southern Grammar students celebrated Arbor Day 2009 by planting tree seedlings last Friday.
More than 140 species suiting the low lying land were provided by the Forest Products Commission and planted to create a wind break near the school oval.
The Year 7 students also received a lesson on how trees improve the land and aid biodiversity from FPC staff.
Advice was provided on soil preparation and prevention from rabbits which have decimated earlier plantings at the school.
