Theft ends up in court

Theft admitted

AN Albany woman has admitted stealing from a local community organisation.

Tia-Khan Anne Munmurrie (24) pleaded guilty to stealing a collection tin belonging to Albany Hospice on July 14 when she appeared in Albany Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Munmurrie also pleaded guilty to stealing $494 from Front Page News, North Road Shopping Centre during an aggravated burglary on the same day.

Munmurrie will be sentenced in the Albany Magistrates Court on September 7.

Fines for drugs

AN Albany man has been found guilty of a number of drug offences.

Clinton David Taylor (34) was fined $150 for possessing a cannabis plant, $150 for possessing a quantity of cannabis seeds and placed on a 100-hour community-based order for nine months when he appeared in Albany Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

False claim charge

POLICE have summonsed a 23-year-old man who reported he had his car stolen. The vehicle was located in Lake Seppings Drive, Mira Mar.

Police took DNA swabs from blood found in the vehicle.

Further inquiries with the owner resulted in him admitting he was driving the car when it rolled while taking a bend. He was charged with creating a false belief.
