Test for "swine" flu

28 May, 2009 10:03 AM
A WOMAN feared to be suffering from the pandemic “swine flu” was found on an Albany-bound TransWA bus at Kojonup on Tuesday.

The WA Health Department said yesterday the woman was still to be cleared from the disease, with test results yet to be received.

The woman was taken to Kojonup Hospital after feeling unwell. She had been coughing on the bus and told several passengers that she had recently been on a flight with someone who tested positive to the virus.

The Public Transport Authority transferred the woman to Albany.

She is one of 55 “flu suspects” now in WA.
