ALBANY Foodbank provides crisis and community care organisations from all over the Great Southern with assistance.
It acts, quite literally, as a food bank which organisations can approach for help.
Albany Foodbank takes donations from everyone from individual donors to multi-natinal corporations.
Sadly, the demand for food from less fortunate families in the Great Southern seems only to be growing.
Christmas is always a time when hardship is felt by local families doing it tough.
The Weekender hopes the Great Southern community will once again be supportive of its annual CAN-Do Day.
The project – with support from many local businesses – allows residents to leave donations of food in bags at their front gate for collection by volunteers on CAN-Do Day.
The bags are supplied by the Weekender.
