Strawberries on offer at open day

05 Nov, 2009 08:39 AM
STRAWBERRIES are definitely on the menu this weekend during an open garden fundraiser for Save the Children Australia.

The fruit will be served at the Willow Creek Strawberry Farm which is opening its gates to the public on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Farm owner Jocelyn Wilkinson said the strawberries were ripening perfectly after concern early season rains might have created some damage.

Established in 1980, the garden features Australian natives, roses and herbaceous borders.

The farm is on Dempster Road, Lower Kalgan, (off Nanarup Road). Entry is $5 per adult and children free.
