A MAN robbed an Albany store of its takings last week in full view of a security camera.
The robbery occurred at the Highway Supermarket on Albany Highway at 3pm last Thursday.
The man, described as Caucasian, of medium build and in his mid-30s, entered the store then placed a green shopping bag and knife on the counter in clear view of the elderly female shop assistant.
The man then pointed the knife towards the assistant, handing her a note saying it was a hold-up and demanding money.
It is believed he escaped in a white, old model Holden Commodore station wagon with more than $600.
Police said the woman was taken to Albany Hospital suffering from shock. Witnesses are asked to call Albany Police on 9892 9300 or Crimestoppers on 1300 333 000.
