POLICE seized a quantity of prohibited drugs from a home in Le Grande Avenue last week.

Officers were at the home in relation to another matter when they located a quantity of cannabis and smoking implements.

A number of cannabis plants were also seized from the back yard.

The 22-year-old occupant of the home was charged and will appear in the Albany Magistrates Court.

Home burglaries

BURGLARS forced entry to a home on Katoomba Street on Saturday.

They stole cash, a Toshiba laptop computer and a child’s scooter.

On the same night burglars entered a Hay Street home through an unlocked window and stole a Panasonic LCD television, Compaq laptop computer, mobile phones and cash.

Thief apprehended

A 30-year-old woman has been charged with stealing after a shoplifting incident at Tuscany’s on the Terrace earlier this month.

It is alleged the woman stole several pieces of jewellery. Enquiries led police to a residence where a number of the stolen items were recovered. The woman will appear in the Albany Magistrates Court in relation to the matter.
