Performers ready to shine

AUDITIONS for a concert highlighting the hidden talents of Albany people with disabilities will be held next week.

The production, supported by Albany Light Opera, will include singing, dancing, poetry and skits similar to the popular 1998 production, “Let’s Shine”.

Company members will work with the Unhiding Choir headed by Theresa Hughes, Makaton Musos with Sharon Thwaites, The Rapid Gang ACR 100.9 Radio show supported by Don McLeish and the Screaming Banshees.

Arty Party and Hands Up artwork will be displayed during the production.

Organiser Janet McArtney said people with disabilities who were not part of any group were welcome to attend the information night to be held at Albany Light Opera and Theatre, Port Theatre, Princess Royal Drive, on Wednesday, September 2, from 7.30pm.
