Marchers remember

09 Jul, 2009 10:02 AM
A SMALL but enthusiastic group of people celebrated NAIDOC Week with a colourful march through Albany’s CBD on Tuesday morning.

The march, which attracted indigenous and non-indigenous people, left Stirling Terrace at 9.30am, trailed up York Street and finished at Alison Hartman Gardens.

The marchers were treated to the story of The Land of Bits and Pieces by renowned Aboriginal performer Dr Richard Walley OBE, and the hypnotic didgeridoo playing of Ryan Humphries and Graeme Simpson.
