Keeping Albany beautiful

06 Aug, 2009 09:14 AM
THIS year’s Keep Albany Beautiful (KAB) children’s art competition proved as popular as ever, attracting 184 entries from 10 primary schools.

The KAB committee was delighted each child thought positively about their duty to keep the city clean and tidy whilst creating their art work.

Years 1 and 2 drew pictures of themselves putting rubbish into a bin, while Years 3 to 7 illustrated Albany as a tidy town.

First prize was $30, second $20 and third $10. First prize winners from each year also won $100 for their school.

The winners were Years 1/2 Alyssa Ward (Albany Primary), Years 3/4 Joseph Harris (St Joseph’s), Years 5/6 Max Tate (Little Grove) and Year 7 Darren de Vos (John Calvin).
