AN Albany car dealer whose stock has been vandalised for the third time this year said the financial burden will affect the wider community.
Thirteen cars parked in the forecourt of Albany World of Cars on Albany Highway had their bonnets severely scratched on Tuesday night.
The attack will cost the company thousands of dollars in insurance excess.
AWOC general manager Malcolm Adamson said he was tired of spending money because of other people’s stupidity.
He said the cost of repairing vandalism would often affect local businesses’ budget for sports and community organisation sponsorship.
“We sponsor many different organisations in Albany, all of whom will suffer because of this mindless vandalism,” Mr Adamson said.
“When people behave like this they just take money out of the community,” he said.
“It prevents us from having money to support our local people which I see as an absolute priority.
“The worst thing is these individuals never seem to get caught and punished for their crimes.”
People who have any information are urged to phone Albany Police Station on 9892 3000.
