Garden work recognised

03 Sep, 2009 09:26 AM
AN Albany group has been recognised for its work on gardens in the Albany Police complex on Stirling Terrace.

The Activ Foundation’s Property Care group has received a Certificate of Appreciation for work done improving gardens, especially for their endeavours in all kinds of weather over the past couple of weeks.

Inspector Phillip van Neuwburg said the gardens had not been maintained and were in desperate need of refurbishing.

He said the police appreciated the effort put in by the gardeners to make the work environment more aesthetically pleasing.

The Activ Property Care supervisor said members of his group ensured the gardens of several government departments in the city were kept in tip-top shape.

Apart from weeding, the care and maintenance ensured their improved appearance.
