COMMUNITY groups in the Great Southern can gain up to $10,000 in investment power through the latest round of the Challenge Grant program.

The program provides matching grants of up to $10,000 for community groups to invest through the Western Australian Community Foundation to provide sustainable long-term investment income.

Challenge Grants provide investment funds to generate income and are separate from the Royalties for Regions small grants program announced last week.

Great Southern Development Commission Chief Executive Officer Bruce Manning called for expressions of interest in the Challenge Grant program, now in its third round.

“Interested groups must lodge initial paperwork by November 27,” Mr Manning said
