A FORMER crowd controller appeared before the Albany Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
John David Houldsworth (21) appeared on charges of assault causing bodily harm.
At the time of the offence Houldsworth had been working as a bouncer at Albany’s Studio 146.
The alleged assault involved Daniel Ditchburn (33) who was attacked during the early hours of September 5.
The victim said he was followed after he left Studio 146 and assaulted in clear view of CCTV cameras on Stirling Terrace.
Mr Houldsworth’s original bail conditions stated he could not undertake any employment as a crowd controller.
Magistrate Paul Heaney said he was stunned to see such an order.
“As a condition of bail this order has rendered the man unemployable.”
Magistrate Heaney lifted the employment ban and set bail at $500.
Mr Houldsworth will appear again on November 3.
